Iraq, it's been the topic of news for the past several years. Sen. Barack Obama intends on his first day to end this war stating "it is the right thing to do for our national security, and it will ultimately make us safer.” Sen. John McCain intends on keeping our troops in Iraq until Al Qaeda is defeated. Sen. Obama and Sen. McCain agree that our borders are broken and need to be fixed. Both candidates want to lower the cost of health care making it more affordable.
Health Care:John McCain will make it easier for everyone to have insurance by lowering its price and giving every individual the choice to which plan is right for them.He will also make a tax brake and return a certain amount of tax money to be used to pay for insurance to individuals and families.
Obama will make a new insurance plan that will be available and affordable to all Americans. This new insurance plan will pay for all your medical needs. It is easy to get and its co-payments will be very affordable. One does not have to qualify for the insurance because it will be available to all.
Education:McCain believes in equal education for all students. Students should not have to go to a school because of where they live. John McCain believes that no child should be held back from a great education. Therefore parents can pick which school they want to send their child to.
Obama greatly believes in the importantness of early childhood education. He believes that all children should start getting educated before kindergarten. He also wants to lower dropout rates, start more after school and summer programs, and get everyone to go to college by making it more affordable. He also greatly believes in supporting schools that need improvement and help them in any way possible to make it a great school so all kids could receive a good education.
One of the major issues in the US today is the economy. Sen. Barack Obama plans to provide a $1,000 Emergency Energy Rebate to help American families pay for rising energy costs. He also wants to provide $50 billion to jumpstart the Economy and avoid 1 million Americans from losing their jobs.
Sen. John McCain wants to lower individual tax rates for small businesses, and he wants to enhance international competitiveness to keep jobs from going abroad.
Another major issue is rising energy costs. Sen. Barack Obama wants to ensure that 10 percent of our energy consumption comes from renewable resources by 2012 and 25 percent by 2025.
Sen. John McCain wants to promote and expand the use of domestic oil supplies and reduce our current dependence on foreign oil.
Health Care- John McCain believes that health care should be available for every American. He wants to make it more affordable, like that every American can have the treatment, and care they need. He feels that families should be able to control they amount of health care they need (money wise). John McCain also wants to lower the cost of health insurance because it is too expensive. He wants it to be more affordable for the people of America.
Barack Obama wants to make health care affordable to all Americans too. He also states that if you already have Health care insurance the only thing that will change is the amount of money that is spent on premiums. He also states that no person will be pushed away from a health care insurance plan because of an illness or condition that already had taken form.
Iraq- John McCain wants Americans to be more trusting of the government with their decisions on Iraq. He does not want to remove American troops before Al Qaeda is defeated. John McCain also wants to improve Iraq's economy. He wants the unemployment rates to go down. He wants to rebuild it's cities.
Barack Obama wants to end the war as soon as he is the president. He believes it is too much of a burden to the American people, and it is not worth losing so many lives over. He believes it is the right thing to do for national security, and it is the right thing to do in order to make America a safer place. As far as Iraq, Obama wants to also make sure they are secure after he withdraws our troops. He also wants to make compromises with the Iraqi leader over oil, federalism, security, and aid for the Iraqis.
Obama wants to change the economy and make it better, he wants to increase the investments in education and infrastructure. In order to make taxes easier for everyone obama wants to simplify the taxes to help relief everyone.
obama wants to help the education department by helping those less fortunate. He wants all kids to be able to go to their full potential so he wants to better the education.
obama wants to make healthcare available for everyone. Not everyone can afford healthcare or recieve it, so he wants to make it possible that they can.
John McCain is very much for national security. He wants the troops to be same and he wants America to be safe. He knows that America is vulnerable to threats and thats why he cares alot about this issue.
McCain feels that immigration system is broken and he wants to fix it. First he wants to make sure that the border is secure and after that step he will check the jobs to make sure people are qualified.
Finally, McCain is very intersted in the knowledge of space. He wants to continue learning and funding the space programs. He feels that space exploration is a top priority.
Healthcare:
Obama-
• wants to create a health plan that is available for all Americans and that is affordable and everyone is guaranteed coverage regardless of their situation.
• he wants to create a health care coverage that can guarantee Americans that there cover will not change if they switch jobs.
• help small business pay for their employees healthcare

Iraq:

• Wants to end the war and completely remove the troops by 2010
• Will keep a force in Iraq to protect American from terrorist missions
• give $2 billion to help Iraqi refugees in neighboring countries and help the Iraqis inside their own country
• work with Iraqi authorities to make sure to punish those who are responsible for crimes against humanity
• will intervene militarily to end possible genocide in Iraq.

McCain
• does not want to withdraw from Iraq until the Government of Iraq can govern itself and protect its people
• create a democracy in Iraq that will defeat terrorism
• fix the economy in Iraq to eliminate violence
Health Care:
Obama: Believes that every single American should have and be able to afford healthcare as wants to lower the amount people spend on their premiums to do just that. The senator assures that no one will be turned away healthcare due to an illness or a previous ailment. He makes it mandatory for all children to have healthcare and expands options for adults. Obama also plans on doing more research on illnesses to lower percentage of people obtaining them.
Mccain: Wants to bring the costs of healthcare under control as well to help public. He looks towards securing private health benefits for those who are retired so they could live at ease. He also believes that the people themselves should be in control of how much money they spend on their healthcare, again making ti more affordable. He wants to increase variety and opportunity of obtaining healthcare to match people’s exact needs so that they will be paying for exactly what they want. He will provide an insurance that will follow you through with all your jobs and looks to lower the prices of drugs given to patients for their benefit and ease.
Iraq:
Obama: Wants to end the war as soon as he gets into office for he believes that it will nationally make us more safe. He finds that the war is too hard on our troops and on the United states as a whole. Obama plans on slowly taking the troops out or Iraq in steps, allowing no troops do be left in the country later than the summer of 2010. He will find that those who oppressed the Americans in Iraq will be punished for their crimes. Obama plans on giving monetary support tothose Iraqi’s who need it in neighboring countries and will make sure that they’re taken care of.
Mccain: Believes that it is our job to support the Iraqis until they are capable of surviving on their own.He wants to create a democratic state in Iraq and make sure that its neighboring countries do not find it as a threat. Mccain believes that the Iraqi government can use a portion of their budget surplus to start projects that will begin to restore fundamental services in the country.
One of the major issues in this election is the current state of the economy. Wages have remained the same and the cost of living has increased. Obama plans to provide a thousand dollar emergency rebate to American families to jump start the economy, which will be funded by taxes on excessive oil company profits. Obama also plans to provide tax relief for middle class families. John McCain'
s plan to help the economy is to increase the power of the dollar and reduce the price of oil, by becoming less dependent upon foreign oil. He also believes we should have a summer gas tax holiday.
Another big issue is health care, and the rising medical costs that are leaving millions of Americans uninsured. Obama plans on creating a new national health plan that would be available to all Americans. McCain plans to reform health care by making it easier for Americans to get insurance, and also proposed insurance that would follow them from job to job. McCain will also look to make drugs cheaper by bringing more competition into the drug market and introducing generic drugs faster.
The war in Iraq is also of great concern in this election. If Obama takes office, he plans to end the war and remove our troops in phases. McCain believes that it is important for the U.S. to support the government in Iraq and disagrees with with withdrawing American troops.
Iraq has been a huge issue since the beginning. I believe that we should end this war because to much time, money, and lives are involved. Barack Obama opposed the war in Iraq from the beginning. He plans to once immediately taking office, Obama will give his Secretary of Defense and military commanders orders to end the war, but few soldiers will remain in Iraq for investigation for terrorist activities. However, John McCain believes it would be a grave mistake to leave before Al Qaeda in Iraq is defeated and Iraqi security force is in place and operating effectively. He wants to get Iraq’s economy set; I say what about our economy which is falling every minute presently. He believes that we must apply international pressure on Iran and Syria; this would lead to a lot of trouble for the world. I believe that we must be concerned about our political and economic conflict rather than others, any way they are a never ending story, might as well keep your and clean.
The economy is the big problem in the recent time. Stocks slump, prices of commodities going up, the increasing of sub-prime loan and unemployment. These all make our country not good as the past.
John McCain
*intending to create millions of good jobs to solve the unemployment.
*sending a message to the oil producing countries about ending the dependence on foreign oil to lower the gas price.
*changing the tax code to lower the family burden.
Barack Obama
*putting a new tax on excessive oil company profits to rebate $1000 to American families
*fixing the North American Free Trade Agreement to make it fit American workers’ needs
*inventing a new kind of energy to lower the commodities’ costs
War in Iraq:
Barrack Obama says that he wants to remove 1 to 2 brigades a month which would remove the troops in 16 months. McCain feels that we should continue to fight the war in Iraq.
Health Care:
Barrack Obama wants to create a new national health care program for all Americans. McCain also wants to lower the cost of health care.
Immigration:
Both Obama and McCain agree on the fact that we have to secure our borders.
Education:John Mccain understands that America is a nation committed to equal opportunity, and there is no equal opportunity without equal access to a great education. He will make sure the schools fulfill their responsibility of educating the students, and have the suitable resources and management authority to do so. The schools must report to the parents and the public on their progress. Mccain will fight to insure that all students will have access to the school of their choice. He believes our schools can and should compete to be the most innovative. Parents should be able to send their children to the school that would be best for them and can best educate them. John Mccain will make sure to place parents and children at the center of the education process.
Barack Obama realizes that education has been the reason for social and economic mobility. He believes that schools should not only prepare the students to meet the demands of the global economy, but they should also learn to become committed and active citizens. He ensures that all will have a good education regardless of race, background, or class. Obama will try to strengthen the public schools, and provide the struggling districts with the resources and support needed.
Iraq:John Mccain believes it's important for the U.S to support the government of Iraq to become capable of governing itself. Mccain realizes that the best way to secure long term peace is to help establish a prosperous and democratic state in Iraq. He says that when Iraqi forces can safeguard their own country American troops can come home.
Barack Obama was against the war in Iraq before it ever started. He believed that Saddam Hussein posed no threat to the U.S, and that going into war with them would lead to undetermined consequences with undetermined costs. Obama will try to end the war from the moment he gets elected.
The hottest topic of all the conventions, the Iraq war. Sen. Barack Obama plans to end the war as soon as he takes office and believes that the war has made our home unsafe. John McCain intends to keep troops in Iraq until they have a stable democratic state so they don't pose any threat to the United States or its neighbors.

He believes that this war is just hurting the American economy and taking too many soldiers' lives.
Obama:
Senator Obama and McCain have different opinions about the Iraq war. Senator Obama opposed the war from the very beginning. He believed that the Iraq war was useless and unnecessary. Millions of innocent American soldiers and Iraqi civilians have lost their lives since the war started. When he takes office, he would end the Iraq war and withdraw the troops.
Obama will provide universal health care insurance where every American will enjoy the benefits of medical insurance. If you already have health insurance the only thing that will change is the amount of money you will spend on premiums.
